Shop Settings

Everything about the general settings for your shops.

Navigate to the “Shop Settings” in the “Shop Selector”.

Activate shop

You can activate or deactivate your shop at any time.

If a shop is deactivated, no imports and exports will take place. However, the settings are retained.

API information

You can copy them directly, using the button on the right.

API stands for "Application Programming Interface". An API is a program component that is used by software components and web applications for "communication" and enables data exchange between the various systems.

The API is the interface that enables independent applications to communicate with each other and exchange data.

  • API Merchant ID

  • API Token

Basic settings

  • Change the name of your shop.

  • Enter a different web address.

  • Change the E-Mail address for technical notifications . Up to 100 e-mail addresses can be stored here at the same time. The individual e-mail addresses must be separated by a comma (,).

Technical settings

  • Use the slider to set whether feed exports should be activated for this shop.

  • Use the slider to set whether the API run should be activated for all marketplaces in this shop.

Delete shop

CAUTION: If you click "Delete shop", all data within the shop and all information about the shop will be deleted immediately and irrevocably.

The data can not be restored!

Click on "Save changes".

Category format settings

Here you specify how your import categories will be defined, set up and structured.

The category format settings are shop-specific. They apply to all feeds in your shop. If you have several shops, you must assign the category format for each shop individually.

  1. Click on "Category Mapping".

    You will be taken to the overview, where you can adjust your settings.

  2. Select data field category

    Select the data field from which the category tree is built.

    • Select a Data Field from one of your import feeds

    • Select a customized Data Field

    You will receive a preview immediately after selecting.

  3. Separator: Select the character used to separate categories in your feed.

    • Example: Category image is Health & Beauty > Body Care > Cosmetics > Make-up. The separator is therefore “greater than sign (>)”.

    The following options are available:

    • Comma (,)

    • Semicolon (;)

    • vertical bar (|)

    • Tab (\t)

    • Slash (/)

    • Greater than sign (>)

    • Hyphen minus sign (-)

    • No separator

  4. Separation of several categories: If you offer an item in several categories, the separation of the different category paths must be specified. Select the appropriate character here.

    • Example: Category paths are “Electronics>TV>Accessories,Accessories>TV” Separation by comma (,).

    The following options are available:

    • Comma (,)

    • Semicolon (;)

    • vertical bar (|)

    • Tab (\t)

    • Slash (/)

    • Greater than sign (>)

    • Hyphen minus sign (-)

    • No separator

  5. Upper & lower case: Here, you can define whether Channel Pilot Pro should distinguish between upper and lower case when building the category tree.

    • Example: If “yes” is selected, then the categories "Electronics" and "electronics" are treated as two different categories.

  6. Click on “Load category tree preview” and check whether the preview of your category tree is correct.

    • Only a part of the category tree is generated for the preview

  7. If the category tree is displayed correctly, click on “Save settings

Once your complete category tree has been loaded, you can manage your categories across the entire shop.
