What are actions?
An “action” involves the targeted modification, adaptation or preparation of data in order to convert it into a specific structure or a desired format.
This ensures that it meets the requirements of the channel.
Consistent data structures are crucial to enable a smooth and reliable data flow.
Some channels have specific format definitions for individual fields, for which Channel Pilot Pro offers so-called “actions” in order to comply with them.
Example: Google expects the price in ISO 4217 format -> Channel Pilot Pro automatically exports it in this format when the action is activated.
There are a number of different actions that are automatically applied to channel exports. It is not yet clear which data fields of your exports this affects. We are working on this.

After creating a channel export, Channel Pilot Pro checks in the background which channel has been selected and whether automatic actions have been defined for data fields.
If automatic actions have been defined, they are automatically applied to the data fields of the channel export.
Example:
Result before action:
The data field “Price” contains the value 19.99
The currency is added to numerical values. If the currency attribute has not been assigned, 'EUR' is used.
Result after the action:
The data field “Price” is transferred to the Google Channel as “19.99 EUR”.
You can deactivate the automatic action below the source data field. Simply use the button to do this.
